Best way to lose belly fat? – a question we’ve all wondered about at some point or another. I bet you’ve tried everything to get rid of belly fat. If you’re like I used to be, then you’ve probably done a ton of core exercises like crunches and sit ups till you’re blue in the face. Let me tell you that that’s the slowest and least effective ways to lose belly fat!

To actually not focus on just losing belly fat. I say this because you cannot spot reduce fat. You can’t just work your thighs or arms or lower belly and think that you can control that’s where the results go. Having a smart and right workout plan will definitely help you lower your overall fat and therefor reduce belly fat. The best way to lose belly fat is a combination of strength and HIIT training. With strength training you build muscle, which burns fat and calories at a high rate, resulting in an increased metabolism. With HIIT you’re burning a ton of calories up to 24+ hours after the workout is done.
I know that a lot of people focus on JUST HIIT and cardio workouts along with core focused exercises, but strength training is crucial for burning fat!
KEEP IN MIND that over exercising can actually prevent you from losing fat. To explain this briefly, when you put too much stress on the body (you’re almost always in a constant fight/flight mode) your body will keep on the fat it has and make sure it doesn’t burn it in order to survive. This is why a lot of people who workout a lot wonder why they can’t lose fat. They think that the more they workout the more fat they’ll burn. But not necessarily. Your body will slow down your metabolism in order to keep you alive!
Another best way to lose belly fat is
To eat for good health. Not dieting, not restricting calories or any macro nutrients, but just eating a real, whole food diet with minimum amount of junk food. Notice I said minimum amount of junk and not avoid it completely. I’m all about making healthy living enjoyable and NOT restrictive like it used to be for me. Make sure your diet is filled with high fiber foods and lots of probiotic rich foods such as fermented veggies, yogurt, sprouted grains and so on. When you have a healthy well functioning gut and a healthy digestive system, it’s really hard to NOT lose belly fat.
Making sure you’re drinking enough water and keeping your sodium intake at a healthy level is also important to lose belly fat.
The best way to lose belly fat (beyond diet and exercise) is sleep!

To be REALISTIC. Having six pack abs or a toned-looking stomach does not necessarily mean you’re fit and healthy. Not all of us are meant to have low enough body fat to have an incredibly toned stomach – and some people may actually notice that their health begins to suffer if they get their body fat down that low. You might lose your period, suffer with insomnia, fatigue and so many other health issues if your body fat is too low! Don’t put appearance related goals above your health!
