Black Rice Salad
I love it when I find new foods to experience. Anytime we go out to eat I always get inspired by the food my husband and I order. If I like the meal I typically will try to recreate it at home using my own imagination or if there’s a specific ingredient I like in my meal I will try using it with something creative I come up with. And honestly anytime I recreate a recipe it always turns out to be better than the restaurants. Not bragging! Just saying!
A couple of weeks ago I went to Chicago for a much needed weekend getaway with my husband. We went to this restaurant for dinner and I ordered sea bass with forbidden black rice. I really enjoyed my meal. I haven’t had a chance to recreate the dish but I did buy some black rice and today I decided to make a salad out of it. I honestly had no idea what I was going to put in it. I just cooked the rice, picked out a few items I had in my fridge and it turned out to be super delicious. The pomegranates and the beets add a very nice fall/wintery taste to this salad. It also makes for a great side dish for your Thanksgiving dinner![ultimate-recipe id=”273″ template=”default”]
