Oatmeal raisin cookies

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies – Crunchy Treat

I don’t crave cookies that often, but for some reason I was today and thought I’d try to make cookies from the ingredients I had available around the house. These crunchy oatmeal raisin cookies have to be my favorite cookies I’ve ever made. It’s funny how such simple ingredients can turn out to be so good.

I love crunchy cookies and I’m not a big fan of soft and chewy cookies. So I always make sure I bake my cookies longer to “dry” them out a little more to achieve that crunchy texture. I wasn’t planning to post a recipe for these cookies, because I’ve never made this particular recipe before but when I took my first bite from the cookies straight out of the oven and couldn’t stop eating I knew I had to share the recipe. I enjoyed them with a cup of black tea and it was a great combination.

My crunchy Oatmeal raisin cookies contain just a few clean ingredients. Most people have those simple ingredients around the house. And everybody has about 20 minutes to make a nice little treat, right?

Servings Prep Time
14 Small cookies 5 Minutes
Cook Time
15-20 Minutes
Servings: Small cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 380°
  2. In a bowl smash your banana with a fork and add all the rest of the ingredients. (Doesn’t matter which order)
  3. Stir mixture very well and use your hands to form small cookies
  4. Place in a baking tray with a parchment paper
  5. Bake for 15 minutes (See notes below)
    Recipe Notes

For a very crunchy consistency you can bake for 15 minutes, turn oven off and leave the cookies in there for 5-10 minutes. For a chewier and softer consistency bake only for 10-15 minutes.
