This yoga stretching for flexibility and relaxation routine will really help you relax and stretch out your sore muscles throughly. It is incredibly important to spend a few minutes stretching out after a workout but it is also beneficial to do longer stretch routines regularly. Adding a yoga stretch such as this one to your workout regimen will improve your flexibility greatly.
I encourage you to work on your flexibility as it will be very beneficial for you in many ways. It can help you push your body harder during workouts and helps make exercises easier to go through. I try to do these types of stretches once a week, typically on one of my resting days.
This is a yoga and slightly Pilates inspired stretching routine that is meant to relax you and destress you so you feel great right after finishing this routine. I’ve chosen some of my favorite yoga stretches in this routine with no timer used, to help with relaxation.
Since we hold the stretches for a while you want to make sure that you don’t do this routine before you jump into a regular workout to prevent any injury. It is an excellent routine to do after a very tough workout, after a long day at work (my favorite time to do these types of yoga stretches) or, right before you go to bed. I always sleep better when I stretch out before I lay down for the night. Try it and it might help you sleep better as well!
Since this yoga stretching for flexibility and relaxation is such low impact you can do it as often as you wish. Wether it’s everyday, every other day, once a week. Just try to incorporate more stretching into your workout regimen and your body and mind will thank you for it.
As always thank you for working out (in this case stretching out) with me. Please subscribe to my channel and share it with your friends and family.
